Dr. Wexley has been an incredible blessing in my life. When my doctor originally referred me to Dr. Wexley to treat my obstructive sleep apnea, he gave me great hope that her expertise and skill with the latest dental appliances for apnea would lead to a restful night’s sleep. But he didn’t tell me that she also specialized in relieving neck pain and headaches, which has been a debilitating issue for me ever since an injury over three decades ago. Prior to seeing Dr. Wexley, I had sought help for the pain from countless medical doctors, chiropractors, osteopaths, acupuncturists, bodywork experts, homeopaths, herbalists, and on and on – without any obvious diminishment in my pain from any of their treatments.
Due to constant pain, I could never get comfortable in bed at night and would frequently change positions as I tried to go to sleep at night. I hated going to bed because it simply meant tossing and turning for hours until exhaustion would overtake me. Even then, I woke up frequently and changed positions to try to get comfortable, which was an impossible goal. Each morning, I woke in pain and would get out of bed feeling extremely tired and groggy. All of that has improved dramatically. The pain hasn’t totally gone away, but the level of pain is GREATLY diminished and, when I awaken in the morning, I feel better than I have in years and years. With this much improvement, I am confident that more improvement is on the horizon in the near future.
Dr. Wexley has many years of expertise in resolving both sleep apnea and chronic pain and her level of care has been extraordinary, with amazing patience and understanding on her part. She also has a magnificent ability to foster hope, which is clearly based on her knowledge that she CAN and WILL help you because she has expertise and tools that few have. She is also great at explaining what she’s doing and, in my case, how the two arenas, sleep apnea and chronic pain, are inter-related and why solving one helps to solve the other.
I am so grateful that Dr. Wexley continues to believe in me and has the knowledge and the patience that allow each treatment for the pain to take me closer and closer to healing. She has given me a great gift because well-being is priceless.
Dr. Wexley was outstanding! Very attentive and comprehensive in her diagnosis of my particular conditions. She was very methodical in her approach to cover all bases with the correct tests and diagnosis. She is a perfectionist and puts her patients first. She cured my Apnea and various other issues including muscle pain and spasms as well as my migraines. I highly recommend anyone with Apnea, Migraines, various pains, sinus headaches, TMJ, etc to see Dr. Wexley as she is the best in the business and she will cure you!
I was referred to Dr Wexley for treatment of sleep apnea in conjunction with my fibromyalgia. Before being treated by Dr Wexley, I slept so poorly I had to take a nap at lunch just to get through the work day. My life was constant pain and I felt like I was dragging 12 bowling balls around with me all of the time. After getting my oral appliance, my sleep apnea disappeared entirely and my chronic fatigue almost disappeared completely. I could work all day without a nap, do things on the weekend again and not fall asleep driving into work!
Dr Wexley will forever be my savior for how she gave me quality of life back
My experience with your clinic was amazing. I went from having migraine pain once or twice a month with daily ora-facial pain daily and a jaw that was out of alignment. To no migraines, no ora-facial pain and no jaw pain. I have been going to your office for seven years (I think) maybe eight now. At first it was often, after a few months my migraines were gone and I was only going for minor treatment and adjustments to my bite plate for my teeth grinding. There was a period when I actually did not have to see her for anything and the only reason I went back was after some dental work that caused my jaw to go out of alignment. I live out of state now and when I have flown back to LA I make an appointment to see her every time. I recommend her to everyone who has migraines and tell them the same advice she gave me about diet and vitamins. I told my Mother about the magnesium regiment Dr Wexley put me on and she started doing it, her headaches went away as well. Dr Wexley also is a wonderful caregiver with a great personality and sense of humor.
I saw Dr. Victoria Wexley for recurring migraines in 2007. They were so bad at the time that it felt like I had one continuous migraine for the entire fall of 2007. I was beside myself. The pain was not the worst of it, but the loss of ability to function!
She not only treated the pain, she treated the person. She got to the core of my anxieties and has helped me to live with migraines!
The migraines are greatly under control. (Maybe one migraine every 3 or 4 months now.) And when I do get one it is not as bad because I know the tricks to get through it.
She is the best doctor I have ever had. Hands down.
When I first found Dr. Wexley, I knew I had a lot of pain, but I had no idea how bad I really felt. I found that out from the relief I felt after she did her magic on me. Dr. Wexley has given me my life back!
I have fibromyalgia, TMJ and I suffer from migraines. Dr. Wexley listens, asks questions and understands what I’m going through.
I have been to a lot of doctors through the years, looking for answers and results. Dr. Wexley has provided the answers and the results I sought, and more. I am so grateful to have her in my life.
With deepest gratitude,
Dr. Wexley thoroughly reviewed my pertinent medical history as it related to my sleep apnea and recommended an oral appliance that was state-of-the-art and much less intrusive than the common CPAP equipment many apnea sufferers wear at night. She also relieved my jaw tension resulting from clenching, a condition I was totally unaware of!
The most important thing about my experiences with Dr. Wexley, in addition to resolving my sleep apnea, was the attention and time she devoted to me at each office visit. She is truly a talented physician.
Victoria Wexley is a very compassionate, knowledgeable doctor. I began treatment in 2007 after being plagued by migraines for years. I didn’t know at the time that the pills I was taking to prevent migraines were causing rebound headaches, and I was in a cycle of pain. Victoria detoxed me and then placed me on preventative medication for the migraines. Trigger point injections greatly reduced symptoms and improved my well-being. We had numerous discussions about stress and the repercussions it has on my body, especially with regard to my neck and shoulders. During this time I noticed a correlation between the foods I ate and how I felt. I discovered wheat (my favorite food), soy products and nuts would give me migraines. Victoria understood this sensitivity and encouraged my elimination of these foods. Victoria taught me about hypermobility (which is also known as being double jointed) and what I can do to keep my joints strong and healthy. She put me on magnesium which relaxes muscles and helps me sleep. She provided me with an appliance for my jaws to remain closed at night so that I no longer have sleep issues. Although preventative medication was stopped a long time ago, I do take an occasional Imitrex when a migraine occurs.
I highly recommend Victoria Wexley. She has helped me enormously with my head, neck and shoulder pain.
Dr. Victoria Wexley is very thorough. We have tried many treatment options and have arrived at a protocol that has reduced the headache frequency to less than 1/3 of what it was when we started. She is very understanding of the difficulties that migraine patients have.
Dr. Victoria Wexley was the first doctor who really understood what life with chronic headaches and migraines is like. She was able to sympathize with my pain both mentally and physically. Also, she took the time to get to know me and what my life was like. Then, she gave me a treatment plan that addressed my whole life, not just getting rid of the pain. After following her plan, my chronic headaches went away and I was able to pinpoint new triggers for my migraines. Today, I am almost migraine free and am significantly down from the 3 or 4 (a month) when I began seeing Dr. Wexley. While a reduction in my migraines is great, the best thing Dr. Wexley gave the reassurance that I could have life that didn’t revolve around when my next headaches was gonna hit. I am grateful for her guidance, diligence, and compassion.
